The Lead Systems Engineer on the Enterprise Production Services (EPS) Automation team is responsible for providing technical expertise developing automation solutions across IT including Cloud and On-Prem.
The Lead Engineer will be acting as a hands-on technical lead for the team’s initiatives, and be expected to contribute to architectural designs, perform code reviews and actively develop software as needed.
This role supports key project driven initiatives, as well as operational tasks to maintain the integrity of our infrastructure footprint
Responsibilities:
Experience and ability to implement solution using automation technologies and tools from requirements to deliver business value.
Experience in developing automation solutions and capabilities for infrastructure services to increase operational efficiencies.
Ability to design automation workflow for complex manual processes.
Work closely with automation platform architects and infrastructure teams to develop solutions and integrations to other key systems within the automation platform.
Contributes to and supports the corporate adoption of the DevOps methodology and Agile project management.
Maintain stability of the automation environment including scheduling and execution of system maintenance, release updates, upgrades, and/or new technology deployments.
Contribute towards continual service improvement activities related to the administration of cloud services.
Experience working in disaster recovery activities for both cloud and on-prem footprint.
Basic knowledge about Machine learning techniques and models (Decision Tree, Time Series analysis)
Aligns risk and control processes into day-to-day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalates appropriately.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
Minimum of 5 years of related experience
Expertise in Software development using Python or Java or equivalent expertise in infrastructure automation
Hands on experience designing and building solutions utilizing AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, KMS, Lambda, IAM, Kinesis, ECS.
